Is your lawn significantly compacted?  Does it have increased
moss growth or an abundance of native grasses and/or
weeds?

If so, then you could be ready for some renovation.  Our soils in Western
Washington have a high amount of clay and as such, compaction is eventual.
Also eventual is the invasion of native grasses and weeds.  Both of these can
lead to poor drainage, which increases moss growth.  By
renovating you can
create a new seed bed, which will lead to optimum growth for your lawn.

What is Renovation:  essentially we use Round-Up or a similar herbicide to kill
off existing vegetation, then we use specialized cultivating equipment to turn the
old lawn under, burying it 8 inches below the surface.  This gives your existing
soil new life by spreading it on top.

At this time you may want to regrade in order to eliminate high or low spots, or
you may want to add some new soil if necessary.

We will now re-hydroseed your lawn, using only the best materials available.
The
renovation process can save you time and money by re-using your old soil
and without the time-consuming process of tearing up and hauling away your old
lawn.

De-thatching

Due to the harsh winter last year, many lawns have suffered. Instead of spending
hundreds of dollars redoing it however, we recommend de-thatching it.  Besides
saving you money, it will restore your plush, beautiful lawn for this summer and
beyond.

Do you have a newer home with sod installed in the front
yard?

If you do, chances are it could look better.  Unfortunately, when builders install
sod, it is with little or no topsoil.  The grass roots remain shallow and the plant is
weak and prone to disease.

Aeration is one of the best methods to improve an existing lawn.  By removing
plugs down through the root zone, it allows the lawn to breathe, take in water,
and expand its roots deeper; resulting in a healthier, greener lawn with improved
drought tolerance

Aeration is beneficial to ALL lawns that are 6 months and older as Western
Washington soils have high clay content, which cause compaction and limited
root growth.

Call us today for a free estimate on how you can have a healthier lawn
throughout the year.  We offer free overseeding (if needed) when
combined with aeration, fertilizer and lime.  This service is available in
Puyallup, South Hill, Graham, Spanaway and Parkland.

*note* we do aeration as a part of a renovation job, not by itself.
